Dream Vision...September l5, 20l6

In the dream, I found myself high above the earth looking down at the United States. My sight was sharp and I could see what laid before me vividly.

The United States was divided in half. To the West, to the left, was this huge darkness, like a rectangular block.

People could enter that darkness. But, once you entered the darkness, you could not see your hand in front of your face. It was a complete and total darkness, totally black and foreboding .

To the East, right, in huge contrast, was the 'light'. There was no middle ground. You were either in the darkness or in the light. In contrast to the darkness, the homes I beheld in the light had no shadows. The light made everything sharp and crisp and clear, nothing was withheld from view. Truly, it was a sight to behold how bright everything was.

As I awaken for the morning, I wondered what that dream all meant? But, I knew it was a mystery that could only be found in the Lord.

As I was reading the Word, a scripture just popped up at me as I was reading in Joel just a short time after the dream...'Awake, my glory!...I will 'awaken' the dawn'. Funny, the dream vision and then being lead to this scripture. I thought, “Hum...When the dawn comes so does the light and we awaken.

What was it about such a darkness and such a brilliant light? And, what about the thought, “I will 'awaken' the dawn?

Well, what do we think of when we think of the dawn, and the dark/darkness, of daytime and nighttime? It is dark because it is night and light because it is day. In the daylight, the earth is brightened by the sun. At night, the earth turns away from the sun and goes into the darkness of the night.

As I pondered this further and continued in praying for God's explanation, spiritually minded now, I know that God is the LIGHT. And, so, when you turn away from God, could it be that our spirits turn away from the light as well and go into the darkness of the night?

There are many today both in and out of Christianity that have turned away from the LIGHT, His Words of truth have been distorted, taken out of context, of turning into the ways of man and into the traditions of man instead of the true ways of God, away from believing that He loves with an undying love. Self dominates our lives in many ways and God is only called upon in the dire needs of life. So, when there is that turning like the earth, as we turn away from His love and light, darkness comes into our lives and hearts and we too enter that deep darkness without us even being aware.

We end up dwelling in falsehoods, shadows and darkness, the truth not being seen right in front of our faces.

Let's see...What about the 'dawn'? What is the dawn? So, according to Psalm 57:9, how would I bring about the dawn in my life? How would I turn my darkness back into the dawn?

Well, I would turn away from my sins, away from all the worries and distractions of life, turn away from all my idols and turn back to the LIGHT of dawn who is God, Himself. I could not only make Him my Savior but most of all,, He would become my King. I wouldn't have to wait for the earthly dawn to come. The LIGHT could break through into my own darkness right now, in my current darkness of the night. Then the sun will arise in me. Then, the joy of the morning light would replace all the heartache and tears and loneliness of the night/darkness in my own life. Then, the LIGHT/SUNRISE would light up my life, too, and many things would begin to become clear into a realm of no shadows, only brilliant light of wisdom and understanding.

Just think or imagine if you had the power to cause a sunrise! In Christ, you do..Now, 'Awaken the dawn!”...in you.

Don't wait another day...Turn around, embrace the light instead of the darkness. Turn back to the Lord who is the LIGHT. Cause your sun to rise. Awaken the dawn!

Praise the Living God through your life today! Die to self and allow His LIGHT to shine through you to a lost and hurting world. I can assure you that you will never be sorry that you made that most important decision in your life. Amen? Amen.
