The God Who Warns

Scripture: Nehemiah 9:30...'You were patient with them for many
years. You sent your prophets to warn them about their sins, but still
they wouldn't listen. So once again you allowed the heathen nations to
conquer them.'

The Lord showed great mercy as He sent prophets to warn Israel,
again, and again, and again. Israel would not listen and they were
taken into captivity for 70 years. But, He always kept a remnant for
Himself and a remnant who had a true heart to follow Him and Him
alone.

Prayer: You are a merciful and righteous God, slow to anger and ever
calling Your people to see what the Lord is saying to the churches.
Judgment begins in the House of the Lord. However, we have, once
again, failed to listen, lost in our doctrines and the traditions of men.
We have lost our way, have lost the truth of the Gospel and been lulled
into a complacency by the world.. Help us return to the truth of your
Word that we may once again follow you in Spirit and in Truth. You are
right at the door. It's time to rise up and hear what the Lord is saying to
His churches.
