The Church Awakens

Humility

As a young Christian, the Lord started teaching me how to walk humbly before Him,

His Word says in Matthew l2:50...For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, sister, and mother.

I hope this teaching will help you see what God requires of all those who love Him and bring you into an even deeper relationship with Him as the time gets closer. This is my prayer. God Bless!

Micah 6:8...He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what the Lord doth require of thee, but to 'do justly' and to 'love mercy', and to 'walk humbly before your God'.

  1. We must 'do justly', must render to all their due, according as our relation and obligation to them are; we must do wrong to none, but do right to all.

    1. We must 'love mercy' not only be 'just' but 'kind' to all that need us. Nor must we only show mercy, but we must 'love mercy'.

(3) We must 'walk humbly with our God'. We must, in the whole course of our

conversation, confirm ourselves to the will of God, keep up our communion with

God, and study to approve ourselves to Him.

We must humble ourselves to walk with God...every thought within us must be brought down,

to be brought into the obedience of God.

Colossians 3:l-8...Since, then you have been raised with Christ, 'set your hearts on things above', where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life; appears then you also will appear like Him in character in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you 'once' lived But now you must rid yourself of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being received in knowledge in the image of it's creator. Here is no naturality, but 'Christ' is all and in all. Therefore, as God's Holy Bride, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you..

And OVER ALL...'Put on Love', which binds us together in perfect 'Unity' of the Spirit.

May your oil lamp of the Spirit be full in His character at His soon return.
