Our Second Brain

The Holy Spirit is not in your head. Where then does God's Spirit dwell?

Well, the word, and we don't use it enough, is in the belly. It is in our innermost being. It is the bowels of compassion (l John 3:l7) that the Bible talks about. We think of all these physical parts but yet that is the proper location and when we focus on this location, there is a new awareness of the Spirit.

John 7:38 says 'Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water'.

Now, science is catching up with this. Back in the l990's, there was a medical doctor by the name of Dr. Michael Gershon who was a researcher in the field of gastroenterology. He actually turned the world of biology upside down with his discoveries and was actually quite persecuted for a time. But, what he discovered is we actually have 2 nervous systems in our body that functions autonomously and the only thing that connects them is emotions.

Now, what happens in embryology is you have one clump of tissue called the neurocrest. As the baby develops, it splits in half, half migrates to the brain and forms the brain and the central nervous system. The other half goes to the belly where it forms what is called your interet nervous system and has as many neurons as our physical brain and central nervous system and they are joined only by one

nerve that goes directly from your emotional center deep in the brain directly to the belly. It is called the left vegus nerve.

Scientists are now saying that the belly which God knew all along is the home of the second brain.

How would you like to learn how to be in the presence of God 24/7? Do you want this desperately?

Me too.

Prayer was a person focusing on God out of my mind. Prayer, in time, became prayer from my innermost being down in my spirit. And, the focus brought about an awareness and I could tell that it was honoring God. The anointing would increase the more attention I paid to Him. So, there was a real significance from just thinking things over in my head to acknowledging His presence in my heart.

And, sometimes, I would talk but again I feel that maybe I shouldn't talk and let Him talk to me instead of me interrupting Him.

Little by little, He has taught me by communing with Him was the precursor to true communication.

God would take the initiative as I sat thinking of Him. Plus, always remember, God inhabits the praises of His people...another significant truth that the Lord delights in and helps in communing with Him.

Ephesians 3:30 says..'Now in Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works 'in us' to Him be glory in the church of Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

We have felt the Spirit dwells in Heaven but in actuality, the Holy Spirit dwells 'in us'.

Begin a daily 'Quiet Time' with the Lord. Close your eyes and think through to your belly/heart instead of through your head. Meditate on the Word, put on praise, listen and begin a new and different dimension in Christ knowing you are in God's presence 24/7. Hallelujah!
