Salvation

Listen to these encouraging words from II Corinthians l:2-6...'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of (Mercies) and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ, Now as we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and 'salvation'...

For just one moment, let's discuss two words from the Hebrew text. The first word is sin which has come upon us all. It is interesting that in the Hebrew language that sin is always singular in context. Sin is sin. And, no matter if you lie or murder, commit adultery, steal, or talk against your neighbor, sin is always sin to God. The result of sin is always death. Due to sin, we have become separated from the perfect purpose and will of God for our lives.

That leaves us in a dilemma. If we join a church or say we are just good people, are we really?

Is there any of us who can honestly say that we have never lied or stolen, or did wrong in one way or another? Are there still any who can say that we haven't sinned?

The scripture says we have all sinned and are in need to repent, all of us.

Now, let's look at the word concerning 'God's Mercies'. In the Hebrew language, mercies is always 'plural'. There is 'no end' to God's mercies, His compassion, and His tender mercies.

The Lord has more mercies (plural) than that of the one singular word 'sin'.

Sin draws you away. God tender mercies draws you near. You know..God's mercies are new every morning.

Seek him today.

Right at this very moment, God is calling America to come back to Him. He is calling each of us because He wishes that no man should perish but all come to His tender mercies of salvation and an abundant life through Him. And, the question is not what you will do on the day of judgment but knowing that we all must stand before God. And, on that day even one sin can separate us forever eternally from the God of all mercies. God is the only one who can stand in the gap for us. God is the only one who can provide safety as we enter these last days of human history.

God is the only one who would offer Himself up to bridge that gap. He is our Sign of Hope in a weary world. Even if you were the only one on earth, Jesus would give His life to save you.

Jesus' name means 'salvation' or 'safety'. The only safe place is to be in God. You will not find safety in any religion but only being born again into the Kingdom of God by putting your trust in Him and letting Him come into your heart. Where there was one lost in despair, now there will be two...one who will uphold you forever as you yield to His Will. He will pick you up, dust you off, and send you onto maturity in Him. In Christ, it is never work or a burden but always an adventure.

Now is the time. You are only one heartbeat away from eternity. Which way will you choose? Or will you decide to continue a life of rebellion, loneliness, and despair. It is your most important decision.

You may say your life is just fine. But, are you ready to stand face to face with Jesus and actually believe compared to Him you are just fine?

Now is the time to choose, choose life and live. Choose your own way and die in your sin.

I can only hope you have thought it over and wish to say the prayer below and come into the Kingdom of God.

Say this Prayer with me: Dear Heavenly Father, I have sinned against You and man. I come to you now and ask that you please forgive me and come into my heart and save me from my sin. Where there was once one in my heart, now there will be two. Congratulations! You are now a Child of the Living God. I encourage you to find a Bible that you can understand and start reading about the new life that you have found and make sure you tell someone of your decision. (God Bless You!)

I encourage you to find a good Bible based church who can help you grow in your new found faith.
