God's people have been under attack almost since the dawn of history. However, the Lord has constantly protected them as evidenced throughout the Old Testament.

In the Six-Day War of l967, Israel was provoked into protecting herself – tiny Israel won the war against several larger countries, including Egypt. What are the odds of that? Israel, constantly attacked and harassed. How has she held her own at every turn? The only answer can be; YHWH (God was with her, as He promised that He would through His covenant promise to Abraham.

Genesis 49:l0 The scepter will not pass from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his legs, until he comes to whom (obedience) belongs, and it is he whom the peoples will obey.
